National Ice Cream Day

In 1984, President Ronald Reagan declared July to be National Ice Cream Month. The 3rd Sunday of the month was to become National Ice Cream Day. Those observing this holiday were encouraged by President Reagan to celebrate accordingly, with plenty of everyone's favorite frozen treat. This past weekend, July 21st, we celebrated this year's National Ice Cream Day.

Ice cream is a fan-favorite dessert year-round, but sales spike significantly during the hot summer months. This means distributors and retailers have to work extremely hard to meet demand without compromising cold-chain integrity. Hot weather can impact distribution and retail activities by overheating freezer units or limiting delivery time windows.

Here at Routeique we're big fans of ice cream. That's why we're celebrating National Ice Cream Month by helping our customers to deliver the frozen treat in the most efficient way possible. Check out our Cold Chain page to learn more about how we're helping to delivery National Ice Cream Day treats all year long.
