Routeique Attends Meetings in Chicago

Earlier this winter, our VP Operations, Eric Moon, headed to Sargento Foods to meet with their team. Sargento is a well-known American food producer (best known for its cheese). It was great to learn more about their company and their business needs.

The day after the meeting, Routeique headed out for a tour of MHub with the Sargento team. MHub is an innovation centre focused on physical product development. It was launched in 2016 when members of the Midwestern manufacturing industry came together to support solutions for barriers to growth. MHub now fosters connections between crucial players like manufacturers, university researchers, and the entrepreneurial community.

Touring this 63,000 square foot facility and seeing everything their space had to offer was a great experience. From ten well-equipped fabrication labs to product development services, MHub has everything that’s needed to be a strong supporter of the city’s innovation ecosystem. As a company that works in the IoT space, we found their offerings related to innovation in IoT technology to be particularly exciting.

After the meetings and tour, there was time to visit iconic Windy City landmarks, like Anish Kapoor’s Cloud Gate (aka “The Bean”) and the Tribune Tower.

There was also time to check out some other well-known businesses in the area, like Kraft Heinz, McDonald’s Technology, The Wrigley Innovation Centre, and more.

The Chicago trip was a productive one. While our team is currently working remotely, we’re looking forward to nurturing our new and existing partnerships via online meetings.
